Community Pharmacy Teams across Scotland won the Top Team award at the Scottish Health Awards in a virtual ceremony last night.
Run by the Daily Record in partnership with NHS Scotland and the Scottish Government, the 16 categories in the Awards recognise those that go that extra mile to improve the health and wellbeing of others.
Following a short "boogie" when the result was announced, CPS chief executive Professor Harry McQuillan said he was "over the moon". It was ‘absolutely great’ to see those on the frontline recognised in this manner, he said.
Matt Barclay, CPS director of operations, it was great news and more recognition for the pharmacy network. “It is the first time a pharmacy organisation has won, never mind the whole network,” he said.
